  • On Speaker; no words.

    June 2nd, 2024

Some 80s band that my original
    Locale seems to adore
    From a massive cultural island
To another island across distant shores
I scored and soared pond-rocks across

    I just finished up
    An hour and a half
    Workout
I choose to keep you on the phone
And let the shuffle of the playlist lull you

    -to sleep.

    In this,
I know I did good for myself.
    Yoga and kettlebell
    Workouts
Just to adjust my broken shoulder blades
    Than hang incorrect
    But get to work,
    All-the-same.

    So be it.

I have been complaining to you
    Since the last time
    My internal inertia
    Bred a
    Workstyle of eternal
    Fruition
    Or otherwise
My back-brace would not be on.

    I didn’t dance as a dragon
Though you tell me of golden stories
And I try not to remember the milky-white
Of your eyes rolled back in my hands
    Some other band tells me
To run to gehenna of some sort

You like my bricked t-shirt of them in
    Blue
    And I think the world
    Won’t be too cruel,

As long as it isn’t Silent.
    Though,
    I appreciate
    We’re comfortable with each other
    In the stillness
Of how loud this little world
    Is
    That I share
    with you.
