  • Coma Quacks.

    August 3rd, 2024

    Wary ways
    And continuous strays
    Left a watermark
    Of breadcrumbs
    To some parable
That led to the lonely starfish
At the bottom of the sea.
Swimming past kaiju and the volcanic
    Vents quaked
    With rampage
Of and undersea crew that found itself
    In a portal to Venus.

    Undying Love and the magma
Raged on as if it was the only fuel
For the punctured lung to squeak on by
    In asphyxiated whispers
As the galaxy shown its rain-stream
And only the glow of purple
    Could diffuse all the trouble
To get back to the one that is loved,
    And somehow,
She was on Neptune, the whole time.

Swimming beneath the waters and icebergs.
No ice, and just a scrape on glacier,
Was more like a morning bath.
The aurora could be seen from North America
    And the lonely traveler
    Dispelled in quadratic equations
    And eerie telescope-sightings,
When a strain of her hair
Would somehow fall in the sojourner’s hand
And another flip-flop fell of the
    Edge
    Of a nother planet
    And somehow.

It was the smell of gardenia at every crossroads,
    And the slumber dispelled itself.
And she woke in hospital bed
To all that she dread –
Raspberry Iced Tea + Black Coffee.
Chocolate Milk if you asked for it, too.

    Moccachino.
