Dry wary eyes from

crusts

and waking up at 3am

and not going

back down

until sunrise,

only to accumulate 6 hours into the afternoon

as repayment

to the spookiness

of the ambience.

in my night my night terror roll,

I finally let myself

unmake the bed

and pull up the shawl

to bind old ways

and no mistakes.
