Damask cigar boxes

made out of tinned silver

and clasp locks

and kiss locks

on my cigarette holders

was how we used to approach

parties and I only

party alone now

and my only question is to

sit on the stoop and

see what the breeze is like

or snuggle in bed under

many freshly washed blankets

and I just kinda

haven’t gotten to folding

the excess of

decoration and ambience

and now the

prison of the mind grey

weighted blanket is my

beautiful nest of

abnegation and love.
