  • I Swear It’s True

    March 25th, 2025

    There are women

    That work on the beach

    Selling seashells

And all they do is scour

    Every morning

    Selling the bones of mollusks

    And their protective layers.

    Sounds decrepit and their life

    Is always lived cheap.

They make money on what the beach gives them.

Took an easy route, too easy.

    And that’s why it’s cheap.

    To live that way.

It shouldn’t be for the bone harvesting.

If you really think about it.
