    November 8th, 2023

I saw a female Cardinal taking a bath in my dog’s stainless steel water bowl

    this morning

she was glinting in the sun every time she spread wide her feathers

My tuxedo cat with aventurine eyes

is sitting in his tucked bed somewhere in the grass and incognito of only the shared space, I had for my lonesome for the years before him

My crochet is so long that I had to wind it up and feel the weight in every loop, and moment of the craft that is currently the center of the mind of my hands as I

    tune in

    To

    I

My joints have been real creaky.

The birds, are up and at em again.

    It’s been a sunny afternoon.
