    December 2nd, 2023

Two tea lights lit like beacons and I’m stuck in the early AM thinking of you and all the possibilities that stand before me.

I wanted to think that it’ll be like last time; yet everything feels entirely different.

I think there is virtue in this. In the differences.

I flipped through stacks and stacks of cards looking for any flare to signal that it’s all okay.

I only found I’m the one giving myself a bad day… again.

Change is allowed to blossom, at the hands of surrender towards the wash that overflows of uncertainty; guided by the same moonlit tides that brought me to you before.
