Worms have riddled
The brain
Meant for fortune
And somewhere in it’s destiny
Those worms found an apple
And started to teach.
They taught chemistry and fine arithmetic
And they were psychologist shrinks too but better
Than a guidance counselor.
The worms began to sing
And wear clothes
And each worm grew to 5’7
And turned Episcopalian
And went to church
Entirely human
Grown from a worm
Like apples that kept doctors away
They showed them the genome in those seeds
Weird theories.
