Muenster Cheese and Riesling

I’ve solved millions of cases,

I’ve lived a thousand of dreams,

I rather walk alone in virtue,

Than lead someone to the cables,

Of every chord that pulls my life,

Into essence and serenity.

I’ve seen the future many times before,

And all the cookies scraps,

And paper whacks,

I left for you,

Were just insanity clauses,

And hellos and I love yous,

Wake up, dear

We’ve all been sleeping.

And by who and we and you and me,

There is only I,

For the taking.

Muenster cheese and riesling,

I want to put on a puppet show for you,

Just to see what bells I could ring,

In simplicities and older vaudevillian acts,

Like falling in love with an impossibility,

I can’t bring you back but I can remind myself like every ditsy day and every grieving widow.

I miss you,

Is enough.

Now, I laugh alone.
