Magnifying Glass

Foolproof, it all must be.

Otherwise, it’s unjust

And otherwise depraved

By kinship and hindsight

They are not the same plan

To usher or to revoke

And they look so simple as if

It only took two drachmas

On my eyes to see the difference.

I do with my glasses

And without.

The brown hazel eyes with flecks of gold and green.
