Night Light Drive Home

Glasses of red wine,

Staring over them

Hearing the karaoke

Pulled in, to save a song

And underperformed

On purpose

Of sexiness

And other ventures of finding

Vaping time

And always wondering how

You’d always show up

and I was hardly what would

Count an invite

And you’d be the showstopper

And now I’m getting old

But still looked at bizarrely

When I grab the wine bottle

All in good nature.

Getting out there,

And taking the drink

And seeing who I am

Without a handle necessitated to function

And sip that send me into ambience of

Missing You.

You weren’t there

but all your clues

know I’m close.
